REVIEW EVENT INFORMATION
boardCONNECT brings together community-minded professionals seeking to join nonprofit boards with a diverse range of nonprofit organizations seeking board members. In this “round robin” coordinated event, professionals and nonprofits engage in brief conversations, rotating throughout the event. The goal is to find matches in which a nonprofit and a professional express mutual interest and want to continue the conversation. Each boardCONNECT event results in a number of successful matches and new board members.
Important Notes
- A mutual match from this event occurs when both you and a candidate you meet with say “YES” to continuing your conversation after the event.
- If you are mutually matched with one or more candidates, you are expected to “go on a second date” (ie, arrange a follow-up conversation) with the candidate(s). Further conversations will determine which candidate(s) you ultimately extend a board seat to.
- We understand that each nonprofit has their own interview process and procedures for board members. After your “second date” with a mutual match, you are welcome to follow whatever your typical election process is.
- All attending board candidates will be employed by T. Rowe Price. The candidates will operate under the assumption that you as a nonprofit will only elect ONE associate for your board. However, it is your choice if you wish to have additional meetings with multiple candidates, and/or if you wish to add more than one T. Rowe Price associate to your board.
- There are no guarantees that you will be successfully matched with a candidate.

Event Run of Show
Checking In and Setting Up
From 9:00am-9:30am, T. Rowe Price board candidates will check in and build their interview schedules. While they build their schedules, all nonprofit representatives will arrive and set up their assigned interview tables. Items you may want to bring to personalize your table include:
- Branded tablecloth
- Flags or large A-frames to put next to your table
- Business cards or SMALL brochures to give to candidates (we recommend 5-10 copies)
A tablecloth will be provided for all organizations that do not own a branded one of their own. Regardless of what you bring, you MUST complete your table set-up by 9:30am!
How to Prepare for the Event
To be fully prepared for this exciting event, Business Volunteers recommends the following:

EVENT SCHEDULE (LIVE UPDATING)
Starting at 9:00am on August 20, candidates will create their schedules based on their interest in meeting with you. Candidates have been given access to all the promotional materials you provided and your board profile submitted to Business Volunteers. The table below shows the current, live-updating schedule.
Candidates have been encouraged to reschedule as they see fit, SO THIS SCHEDULE WILL REGULARLY CHANGE. Please use an electronic device (laptop recommended) during the event to check here for your most up-to-date schedule.
Make sure to scroll to the right to see the full event schedule, OR click the expand icon on the bottom right to get a bigger view. NOTE THERE ARE EIGHT (8) INTERVIEW ROUNDS!
ATTENDING CANDIDATES
Candidates have been encouraged to print their resumes and other materials to share with you. However, you may also review all the attending candidates in the table below.
Click on each card to see a candidate’s title and LinkedIn profile OR resume. Make sure to scroll to see all the candidates, OR click the expand icon on the bottom right to access a bigger view.
PLEASE NOTE THAT CANDIDATES’ PREFERENCES WILL DETERMINE THE SCHEDULE, NOT NONPROFITS’. You are welcome to review the materials of all the candidates, but you are not guaranteed to receive an interview with your favorite(s).
MUTUAL MATCH FORM
COMPLETE THIS FORM WHEN YOU HAVE COMPLETED ALL YOUR CONVERSATIONS. You MUST complete the form before departing from the event.
- Review the conversation schedule above.
- Answer the following question for each round: Are you interested in continuing a conversation with the candidate? (If not, you may select ‘No’ or leave the question blank).
- TRIPLE-CHECK that each decision is aligned with the proper round. You don’t want to accidentally say yes or no to the wrong person!
- Make sure to hit SUBMIT at the bottom!
Business Volunteers will review the responses of nonprofits and candidates and announce mutual matches in 1-2 weeks.
